Anyone want to plan a movie viewing here in Orlando in the next month or two? We're going to be having a meeting near Tampa in October (details to follow shortly). Every time we've tried this it's turned into a fun little party with not so much actual movie watching, but that's a great problem to have. Basically, coming down from Celebration I'm really anxious to sit down with friends and enjoy a Star Wars movie or maybe some Clone Wars episodes.

The more casual the better. Groups are great, but 3-4 people could be great for actually finishing a movie just as well. What are your thoughts?

We have a new email address, SWGFA77@gmail.com, from which you'll be receiving periodic news about the SWGFA regarding our gatherings and the forums and blog. On rare occasions we'll mail all members of this forum from Yuku, but since people change their addresses from time to time I wanted to put it out there so you can add or remove your name and also potentially put our address into your "safe senders" lists. This email address will never be used for outside companies for marketing or research and we don't need any particular details from you to be added to our mailing list. You may wish to send us your name, but that's entirely up to you.

In the future it's possible we may develop mailing lists for particular tracks like Collecting or Costuming or something, but this will be an opt-in type of thing that would be mentioned in advance here and/or in a newsletter. We do anticipate sending something out in the next few days and...

For new members just seeing mentions of The Episode of the Month here on our boards- the idea is to have us all have one of the movies to watch and discuss in a month. Nothing is required and I certainly don't want to stop you from watching any movie that you want to see in whatever month. Still, treating this as a sort of "book club"-style activity can be fun for participants who like to see the whole Saga once or twice a year. By doing this in sync with other fans you can see how your perceptions of particular episodes can change over time and grow based on other people's points of view.

Since there are only six live-action theatrical Star Wars features (sorry Ewok movies- you were on TV here in the States) we can watch one per month January through June, then start over in July.

I have been collecting for about five years. I'm the only younger collector that I know of. I regularly go to star wars weekends costumed as a jedi. I went to CV and had a blast. Here is a list of some of my rarer items: original piece of wampa fur, the new holo stich as emporer fig ( I got number 6), a force unleashed battle rancor that is missing the target sticker, four cereal boxes from the collecting panels at cv, and a 2006 certificate that was given to me when I participated in the jedi training academy. I wanted to say hello and give a shout out to any younger collectors.

May the force be with you all,
Chase K.

I met this cool guy today that has multiple complete sets of BK glasses. I did not see them , but I told him I would pass on the info to see if anyone else is interested. I am interested myself , but since I have a few, it is low priority for me. I just think this is a good opportunity if you're local because you don't have to worry about shipping them.
He also has a ton of loose vintage SW figures , few vintage plush ewoks , and some rare plates . I shot out a few ideas about selling all that stuff . He doesn't like the hassle of dealing with ebay and then having to ship things . His main reason for not wanting to sell at a con event is that he would need display cases because you cant just dump the figures on a table and expect everyone passing by to be honest. Plus I don't think he needs to sell everything in one weekend. He doesn't seem to mind the steady cash flow he gets from selling bits of the collection over the coarse of several years.
If anyone is...
