Hello everybody,

I was thinking about general LE stuff and was thinking about things that are numbered.
I got the holographic stitch as the emporer figure offered at Star Wars Weekends 2010 and got number 6 of 1980!
I was wondering on what other collectors opinions if they think it's rarer when it has a lower number.

Hello everybody,

I'm new here and was looking around and couldn't see any threads on original props or cast and crew items.
So I decided to open up a thread for any and all collectors to show off their original props, cast and crew items, etc.
Above is a piece of wampa fur I picked up during CV at the prop store of london booth.

Star Wars T-shirts and Apparel

This is not about costuming; I'm talking about the myriad of clever t-shirts and other apparel that let your Star Wars geek flag fly. Post pictures of your favorite t-shirts in your collection or that you've seen online or in the real world.

As I posted in the Online Store Reports, today's RIPTApparel shirt is a good example. The artist, Dann Matthews, calls it "Construct-a-Trooper." Those of you that have collected action figures might appreciate my name for it better: "Troop Builder."

The SWGFA Collecting Contingent

The SWGFA Collecting Contingent has three sections. STORE REPORTS, TRADE ALLIANCE, and this, THE HUTT. Do you see the Store Reports section? If not, and Chris or I know you, let one of us know so we can make it visible to you. The Store Reports section is only open to people we know so area scalpers will not be aided by our postings.

Also, should we add another section? Taking a cue from other popular message boards, I'm wondering if we should have a Limelighting section, a place to post photos of your set-ups. If so, what should it be called? Maybe we don't need one as there are so many other outlets to have these posted (Rebelscum being the largest). Just looking for some opinions.

Diamond Select (1/4 scale)

What do you think of the Diamond Select offerings? They are huge, detailed, and I love the Jack Sparrow I own. I just saw the Darth Maul at a comic shop yesterday and it looked fantastic.

The human faces I'm less impressed by. Still, the price of less than $80 is attractive considering the scale is the same as the Sideshow $250-$300 pieces. Pictures of the Luk Jedi have just been released. It looks like Luke all right, just not like Mark Hamill.

More often than not, if you're looking at the Rebelscum Photo Archive, vehicles will be shown on FlexiDisplay stands. These have been around for two or three years and make displays adaptable and dynamic. Has anyone on these boards used them? I'm planning on buying a set from Lost and Found Toys in the near future. Let me know if you already use them or might be interested in splitting an order so we could share the shipping.

Is anyone going to be buying Gus and Duncan's Comprehensive Guide to Star Wars Collectibles? I have both Sansweet price guides and I want this thing, but I have not decided if I'll spend $70+ (delivered) on this thing. Check it out here.

eFX Collectibles

I got good news from eFX. I ordered the Stormtrooper helmet the other day and just got an e-mail saying the shipping cost had actually gone down. They originally quoted $37.50 but lowered it to $21.32. Now if they'd only lower the cost of the helmet!

Has anyone seen what's on tap for eFX? Their McQuarrie Vader helmet looks amazing but I'm sure I won't be able to afford it. They also have a nice Episode II Clone helmet and an Ahsoka lightsaber coming out.

I have been reading Toyfare, by Wizard. For about 3+ yrs now. If you havent read it or know about it, it is a great way to see upcoming toys and artwork. It is nice sometimes to also see someting thats not on the net, and that you can use on the fly when looking for items. They also have good humor and references to stores on and off the net. The price guide is also the most complete. They do alot of guides to collections as a series.

It is for SW collecting and also Marvel, DC and Mcfarlane. My collection is 80% SW, but I go for other types of comic based figs. Mcfarlane, to me, Is the reason the new detail on figs is so great and more pop then ever. with the mag it just gives you an idea of what is outhere.

Who around here collects autographs? I have a decent collection but somehow I don't consider myself an autograph collector really. If I was skipping C4 or I didn't already have Carrie Fisher autographs I'd probably buy this from StarWarsShop.

Kotobukiya and other Japanese imports

I've passed on all but the first Vader from Koto but I think I found another must-buy. For the 30th Anniversary, Koto's releasing a two-pack based on famous 1975 McQuarrie concept art. You can find the article here. Especially impressive is the gallery of 12 images of the prototype. This has long been one of my favorite McQuarrie pieces so I'm excited that it's getting a 3-D interpretation.

Choose what Campbell spends tons of money on.

I've pre-ordered some Sideshow items and I think I'm going to have to draw a line and only get one. Both come out in the next month or so, so I need to make the decision very quickly. Which do you think I should buy?

They're very close to one another in price so that's not really a factor. The fact is, I need to limit it to just one of these items. Celebration IV hangs in the balance. Donations welcome (except from Walt*).

Last year I was very disappointed by a very big gap between Adler's Santa Yoda pre-production art and the piece that I ended up getting. I just hope a similar happening doesn't occur with this. I could see an improvement on the hat, but otherwise this decoration is perfect. Coming soon. I'm in!
