Yeah, I'm thinking maybe Stu or Todd (of Heroes Landing) made that up. It was a nice surprise! I actually fretted till Thursday night over creating something to put on the flyer tables. While I regret that we didn't have anything in time, I feel we need something like business cards just as much because a number of people were curious when we, including Daniel Buetens, mentioned the group. It would be great to pull something out of my wallet that reminds people that we're out here.

I have to say, this was one of my favorite MegaCons in many years. Despite the small GFA turnout, I felt my $24 (Saturday's ticket) was easily earned by the panels that I attended. I didn't buy all that much this year, but I really had fun.

The panels that I attended, along with Rich, were Sansweet's Everything Star Wars, where we saw some trailers for upcoming ILM movies, a montage of previous Celebration footage (got me jazzed) and the audience asked questions about...

I had a nice time volunteering. Had short conversations with a beardless Steve Sansweet, Richard Hatch, Matt Wood, and John DeLancie and helped out Arne Starr by watching his table while he went to a panel. All in all, though, this might be my last year for volunteering. While most of the MegaCon staff were very nice, they really didn't have much direction.

I made the circuit once around most of the exhibit hall and bought absolutely nothing- unheard of for me. I'll be there all day with Rich tomorrow so it's likely I'll pick up a box of Galaxy 5 trading cards, but nothing else is really on my radar. Really looking forward to seeing the Star Wars presentations.

Man, my Saturday is going to be packed. Starting at breakfast with Rich, there are a bunch of panels I'm interested in, the sales floor always lures me, and I'll definitely check out the R2 Builders. Gonna be a busy one!

Set up day at Megacon. R2 Builders is going to have a great presence this weekend. You have a chance to manuver a robot. Not a R2 but RC robot none the less. Pluss we have a small power point presentation that will explain what we are all about.

With no job still and low funds, I don't think I'm going this year. I'm not really interested in the SW guests for autograph purposes, but Mary is interested in meeting John De Lancie & Levar Burton, so who knows. I would place the odds of me going at 20-1.

Robot invasion is a combination of all different types of robots. Campbell i know you will like this. Someone brought this to the exhibit last year.

Hey to let you know I have Handicap parking so we can get right up there and not walk much. Also as long as I have my permit I put in any car and have anyone with me.

Yikes, the cancellations take up much of the first page of their site. Fortunately, no one that I'm interested in has cancelled at this time. I've met Kevin Sorbo more times than I'd prefer as it is.

I'm usually all about the Merchants Hall, but I have to admit, their are a ton of interesting panels and shows this time around. I've got to strategically work out my Saturday.

Just when you get finished with one convention, another comes. As this year flies by, Megacon 2010 is around the corner. Dates are March 12-14th. At the Orange County Convention center. Hopefully, prayfully the same place C5 is going to be. They already have a start of celeberty guest line up. You can check it out here. I think you will be happy with the line up. I know I will be.
