man: "So, did they make your droids wait outside, too?"

Since I found that video, one of my friends has become an executive assistant in Disney's wedding sales department. I'll be on the look out for more major Star Wars weddings. In a not-so-themed wedding a friend of another friend had this groom's cake last month:

It was a TESB 30th Anniversary digital screening for charity in California a few months back. Ewan McGregor was also there.

i just watched harrison ford on the late show. There was a mention of harrison attending a recent star wars event with peter mayhew and billy dee williams. Dave asked if luke was there and harrison replied that he wasnt there. Does anyone know what event this was

As much as I doubt a new SW theatrical trilogy will take place even a new live action commercial like this makes me feel excitement at revisiting the droids.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with my thoughts from South By Southwest’s premiere screening of THE PEOPLE VS. GEORGE LUCAS.
To be completely honest, I had no idea what the movie was going to be before taking my seat. You don’t have to be a genius to figure out what a documentary called THE PEOPLE VS. GEORGE LUCAS is about and it is everything you think it is.

The film opens with an animation sequence of a drawn Lucas setting up projectors and a small screen that shows the titles of his films. First it’s THX 1138 and a few bowling pins with legs...

The documentary sounds like it expresses the non-uber fanboy view that is usually shot down by those that would swallow anything that Lucas presents to them. I'll be interested to see it and hopefully, it presents the information without card stacking in either direction.

I've heard about this doc for the last couple of years so I'm interested that it's finally completed and being released. I don't expect to really enjoy it because the title gives away its entire point of view, but there is a place for profiles of Lucas and his creations that aren't produced by his own companies.

Very cool, and like Edison- Lucas's name is stamped on the inventions of made in his workshops. Lucas gets credit for the inventors in his garage just like Edison. I'm not saying that is wrong, I'm saying that that furthers the similarity.

Apparently there was a special this past weekend that featured Sansweet's collection. Four people at work that are not fans of SW at all told me about it. Oops. Anybody catch it?
