I had planned on picking them up and when I got to the booth, thought better about it. $75 seemed a way bit steep for a few lego sized toys. I did visit the Lego booth a couple of times over the weekend, and even late on Sunday, they still had a bunch of the Cube Dudes left. I suppose others felt the same way about the pricing.

Did anyone purchase any CubeDudes at CV or elsewhere? If so, they'd be a good thing to bring to the next meeting. I'd like to take a look at them.

I was not aware that CubeDudes were around prior to the SDCC and CV exclusives this year. Here are some more.

It's amazing how easy these are to recognize as classic Kenner designs. Hammerhead and Walrus Man really were primary playthings for me as a kid. I never had a Snaggletooth.

Riveting and ultimately hilarious. I like how she knew that it was the Yoda from Clone Wars and not the old version. Yikes.

Oh bizarre is almost an understatement. Hmm yeah I'm going to spend my time mouthing Lego figures to ID them with my tongue, mmmmm 'kay. The set was cool though despite the Kirk chair.

I've seen the TIE Defender in Target for a couple of weeks. It's amazing some of the less-known ships that LEGO's been able to produce. Thanks for the information about the landspeeder. I didn't remember the the old figures were yellow-heads. It also makes sense that they make a set like this available again. I bought the Cantina one both for the landspeeder and the crazy dewback. I really like that piece.

Actually the Snowtrooper pack is already out. I have it set up with my "Echo Base" set and my AT-AT. They have one more set I need to complete the scene. As for the new Landspeeder, well it will be a lot easier to get that one for those of use that didn't get the cantina set not to mention the "fixed" Artoo and flesh colored Luke and Ben. There are a few other new LEGO pieces as well. Here is a link for the new TIE Defender Oh and more then likely Toys R Us will carry the Landspeeder since they have carried all the other "exclusive" set there. The down side is they usually bump up the price about $5 but when you consider shipping it equals out in the end.

Here's the new Landspeeder now exclusive to shop.lego.com. I don't see this as a huge improvement over the previous one that came with the Cantina.

I'm also excited to see that they've got a Snowtrooper (with General and AT-AT driver) Battle Pack coming up.

I was really surprised to see the figures come off. They have loads of them so I don't see them selling out any time soon. If I am going to DD in the next few weeks I'll try to touch base to see if I can pick something up for you. I don't buy big sets anymore, so this is a really nice way to get figures like that Vader and Snowtrooper. I'm not complianing about an extra Shadow Stormtrooper either.

Ah man I didn't realize you could remove the LEGO fig from the magnet. I would bought some of the sets the last time I was out there. Well next time then. Although not the set you posted pix for since I already have the Rogue Shadow (which came with the busted up Vader), the AT-AT (Snow Trooper) and the Shadow Trooper came with one of the $10 sets.

How my tastes stay the same. I completely forgot that I had posted the photos above (when I was out of the country) but when I was in the Downtown Disney LEGO shop I bought these exact items. I haven't opened the silver Stormtrooper but I'm impressed with the 3-pack (one of several SW and Indy sets) because the mini-figures are regular versions that can be removed from the magnet bases. The 3-packs, normally a rather high $15 are marked down to $10 currently.

Also, DK, publisher of the new SW LEGO Visual Dictionary, has a mini-figure mix&match widgit on their site now.

LEGO.com has some new mini-figure magnet sets. I'm hoping I can find these at the Downtown Disney LEGO Store as well. I especially like this Chrome Stormtrooper and the set with FU damaged Vader, Snowtrooper, and BlackHole Stormtrooper.

Has anyone gotten a Chrome Darth Vader mini-figure? These are randomly packed in 10th Anniversary sets, but I haven't bought any.

I'm not a huge LEGO collector, but I have liked their products all my life. I have all of my LEGOs from childhood, and was excited when Star Wars became their first license. I have most of the mini vehicles and maybe half a dozen other sets and have dreamt of huge things like the original Star Destroyer and the Death Star.

However, last night on CNN I heard part of a story about LEGO massively scaling back production and even leaving Denmark for the Czech Republic. I can't seem to find anything online about this so I'm asking here. Does anyone know about this news and how it will affect the SW license?
