It really doesn't do it for me, though they look better in hand than the do in pictures. There's something about the small size and the somewhat heavy weight that I like, but many of the designs are way too constrained by the format. I have a few Vinylmation pins but haven't gotten any of the figurines.

Vinylmation Domination. They've got so many things on tap, it must be one of the most popular Disney merchandising in the parks behind pins. I don't any from series 1, but I might need to bite the bullet and try to get that Tusken Raider.

We have some exciting news for fans of the Vinylmation™ - Star Wars™ Series #1. Barring any unforeseen Imperial entanglements, another order of the series is due to arrive in California and Florida in early October. This means that by mid-October this limited release series should be back in the stores.

Remember those Disney statues of Muppets as Star Wars characters? I was really looking forward to getting those until I realized that they were statues. Don't get me wrong, they are very cool statues. Now there is an absolute must have for me; Muppet poseable figures as Star Wars characters. I am sorry for posting the news late .

That's super cool! I'm glad this is not available for normal purchase, because I'd probably have to shell out the $50 or so that it'd cost. For a $400 auction it's not even a temptation, but it's a great idea.

I wanted to get some of the vinylmation but missed the first release. Have to wait till they're back in stock. Looks like there's a chaser and a super chaser (ben & ghost ben) which is kind of cool. I also saw someone made a custom luke with removable hand that was pretty sweet.

It wasn't too bad waiting out for the SW Vinylmation figures last night. I ended up in line behind Todd from Heroes Landing, so time went by quick. I waited about an hour to get inside and another hour to have 3 of them signed by the artist, Mike Sullivan. Even with the cold weather, there was still about 200 people in front of me and I got there around 11pm. According to the folks working in the store, they should have enough to last through the weekend. These are only being sold at the Disney parks and retail is $11.99 each. They're selling on eBay now for $35 each. I wasn't lucky enough to get a Boba, and ended up with 2 Yodas, one of which I was able to trade for Chewie. Good times.

Pretty cool. Wish I could have gone!

Finally, Star Wars Vinylmation is ready to be unleashed. Tonight at midnight at Downtown Disney's West Side they'll be premiered with an artist's signing by Disney Design Group's Mike Sullivan. Wish I was in town- I'd be there!

I like your ebay suggestion. Some of those figures are just higher priority. What I was looking at was not Star wars figures though. The other lines did not have quite as many that I liked.
