BUT! 

We need ushers and people to volunteer to sell drinks and food and run some of our booths that will sell Star Wars merchandise and play with the audience while the wait for the show to start. Were thinking of like an hour before show we'll have a nice big celebration of the Star Wars universe So all these people need to be in costume. I missed your reply too, until just now.... The party is next Saturday, Sept. 19th from 11:30-1:30. I have contacted the 501st Legion, but thinking it is unlikely since this isn't a big event and no one has contacted me. I know it is a long shot, but I had promised my son I would try since he tried to address invites to The Fetts, Darth Vader, and a Tusken Raider. Unfortuantely, not a lot of costumers frequent these boards currently. I'll ask around, though. You may want to look on the 501st.com site. The whole premise of the party was that all the children were to be put through the Jedi Trials. At the end of the training, the last thing they had to do was use the Force to open the garage door. What they did not know was that Darth Vader would be waiting behind the door ready for battle!

Having 'debuted' my Garindan costume at Star Wars Weekends, I'm eager to wear it at an event where I can walk around more 'in character' (rather than just marching the parade route).

The next sure-fire event is Vulkon in November, but I'm wondering about these other cons:

Granted, they are mostly comic-related, but these kind of events always seem to have at least a few stormtroopers, etc.
