What do you think of the Diamond Select offerings? They are huge,
detailed, and I love the Jack Sparrow I own. I just saw the Darth Maul at a comic shop yesterday and it looked fantastic.

The human faces I'm less impressed by. Still, the price of less than $80 is attractive considering the scale is the same as the Sideshow $250-$300 pieces.
Pictures of the Luk Jedi have just been released. It looks like Luke all
right, just not like Mark Hamill.

Entertainment Earth's got the upcoming 1/4-scale Darth Vader up for pre-order. Looks pretty good- I want to see this one in person. I also got to look at the Mace Windu and Emperor versions at MegaCon and was impressed, especially with the latter. Jedi Luke, however, looks like they accidentally sculpted Kurt Russell instead of Mark Hamill.
I'm impressed with the DS head sculpt for their 1/4 scale Farmboy Luke. This is a big step up from Sideshow statues' likenesses of Luke so it just
might be the second figure I buy from them (got the Maul for $30 delivered not too long ago). A lot depends on how the clothing fits as some figures, like the
Han Hoth, just don't look like a real person's proportions under those garments.

I finally saw the Hoth Han in person and have to say it's far better than the pictures I've seen. He is mad tall but the face isn't bad and the
outfit is very good for the price. 1/4-scale DS figures are $20 through the 4th of April at Bad Apple Comics making this figure $59.99. I'm really not in a
position to buy that, but it was very tempting.

I've seen the DS Darth Maul the last couple of times I've been in TRU and I'm actually less impressed than I thought I'd be. For one thing, in
the package there's little hint that he can be posed in the striking action stance we usually see. Also, the outfit felt a little flimsy. And I may have
been swayed just by being offput by Darth Maul in Clone Wars packaging. Don't know, but something about it just didn't look right. The Florida Mall
store keeps two out at a time and the ones listened to only say one phrase, though I think many more can be accessed.

See that's the thing, the price is really what sells these things. They don't come with a lot of accessories or a base, but they do represent the
characters in a larger than normal scale. I actually wish they would drop the voice box and price them $10-$15 less. My biggest issue besides the human faces
is that they all seem a bit tall and skinny.
