This is something every diehard fan must see like you said Chris. Seeing it reminded me how profound of an effect Star Wars has had on me. The nostalgia almost made me cry.

I'm thinking the sides were deemed to bad a view of the screen because people were definitely in the nosebleed sections behind us.

I was told also by someone that wanted to buy tickets that day. It was sold out. Even though there wre empty seats to the side of the arena.. It was probably to far to the side to really enjoy it. Or it was too far up in the nose bleed section that they didn't want to spend the money..

I know what you mean about getting trapped by the exhibits. While Aaron, Ricky, and I didn't get stuck, we did almost lose track of time. I really liked the TV moniters by each costume display with so many images and bits of trivia.

I loved the concert and am so glad that I invested in the floor seats. After some confusion from the usher, Aaron and I ended up having seats in the 4th row from the stage at the 3pm show. I enjoyed Anthony Daniel's hammy introductions (though I prefer Ian McDiarmid's on the Musical Journey DVD) and I was absolutely amazed at how much the music was performed like we know it from the films. I have a number of different orchestral collections of the movie scores and none of them except the John Williams/LSO ones sound like this. I was very impressed with the editing of each video that accompanied the movie and enjoyed the similarities and differences to the original DVD versions. It's not a very large exhibit and we didn't get there early although we were able to check out the exhibit without hassle, although be warned that a lot of people move each other around to get pics so you might end up trapped.

My recommendation is to arrive early.. At the Tampa one.. There was hardly room to really look at the exhibit. There was a line that formed to walk through the exhibit. Id't say around 1:30. Time flies when you having fun..

So who else is going Saturday? As of right now I think Aaron and Ricky are meeting at my house to go to lunch Saturday before the 3pm show. For those that have already been, I'm really curious to hear what kind of access you had to the exhibits before the show. I've seen people's pictures, but I don't quite understand how they get that many people through the displays before the concert. I'm assuming the actual concert starts at 3pm, so do we see the exhibits before that? When would you recommend we arrive at Amway Arena?

They are continuing the tour and they are hitting some cities that they didn't play at last time around.

WFTV (Orlando) is having a contest to win a 4-pack of tickets to Star Wars in Concert in Orlando. They even make you answer a fun short trivia quiz.

Our local PBS station, WMFE, also offered 2 tickets (probably in the front rows) and a meet and greet with Anthony Daniels for $250. It sounds very high, but two floor seats costs $180 after tax and fees. Unfortunately, I just checked and it is sold out.

got an e-mail that the tickets are printed ! I guess we will get them soon. Wow I believe I ordered the 3pm show... kinda drawing a blank .. I looked at both but think the 3pm had slighly better seats.

You should go back, bro! You went in Dallas, right? Isn't that the show The ForceCast said was less impressive due to the cavernous size of Cowboys Stadium?

I just checked, Cowboys Stadium can seat over 100,000 people, Orlando's Amway Arena seats less than a fifth of that.

Anyone think that they'll have another Star Wars in Concert for Celebration V? I don't recall them having a big John Williams concert for CIV, but I think CIII had one by the Indianapolis Symphony. How great would it be for CV to have a concert conducted BY John Williams?

Who among us will first see a performance of the live performance of the touring Star Wars In Concert? To me this is one of the most interesting Star Wars ventures in years. I'd probably go as far as to Atlanta for this so I eagerly await some performances hitting the East. I could even wait till Celebration V if the concert takes place in Orlando at the same time. Talk about a vergence in The Force...

Tickets range in price from the $30s to the $70s. I usually stick with the midlevel tickets, but this one I'd probably aim for the top.
