Hey I was just reading the Rebelscum forums and the one for CV people have to stop complaining about the heat in August I know if it was on the west coast I
wouldn't be happy but I would still go and if the heat is the only thing keeping these people from coming I'm sorry for them. Were ever it was going to
be I would still be there come on were else do you get a chance to be with 30 thousand Star Wars Fans that share the same passion. I hope Lucasfilm makes
Orlando a permanent home for Celebration like SDCC did in San Diego. This is going to be the biggest and the best Celebration to date. I know the SWGFA will
have a big presence and I hope we have a booth too so we can grow are family.

You know, if I were the one that could magically decide how this thing was to run I'd definitely schedule it in late May so we could celebrate the 30th
Anniversary on the actual anniversary (like we did for Star Wars in LA) but that ship has sailed. We've got it in August and the Convention Center and
every hotel- and most of our homes- are well air-conditioned. I think that sort of talk will slow down as we get closer to the Celebration, but I'm glad to
have a report from those threads that I have not currently been following. Does anybody remember the darn snow in Indianapolis 2005??
Here's a place for the booth conversation and our presence as a group at C5. Chris's connection's may come in handy in synergizing with other groups... -Campbell

If I get a 4 day pass for kids, do you think that I could use it for one kid the first day and a different kid the next day? They usually behave better when
they are apart.

I think you'll have to wait till tickets go on sale (on the 10th) to know for sure. In the past I think adult tickets were named and non-refundable, but I
seriously doubt they would make you provide the name of the child. Seems like parents would really rise against that.

If I remember right they gave out wrist bands for the kids under six we had to put them on and I think the pass you ware around your neck didn't have any
ID on it so if you buy a four day pass I would think any child could use it but they might change things for CV. I hope they don't have limited tickets I
wouldn't think they wouldn't for such a big event. Some people can't purchase them on the tenth due to such a quick decision on a date. Maybe they
will take republic credits.

Pat ,Pat I know your info kept my hopes alive.Do you guys think with all the people in panic mode about tickets do think if you don't buy this month it
will sell out.I would think with such a large venue there shouldn't be a problem but I don't know how many tickets they are holding for CV.

The information I saw said they expected 30,000 people, pretty similar to the attendance estimates of the last few Celebrations. I've seen a lot of hype
and know people are likely to crash the servers tomorrow morning. I don't particularly get it. I think you'd be safe waiting to see what the VIP
packages* are in early 2010. Then again, wouldn't you feel like crud if it sold out?
I think we as fans just like to buy the DVD, see the movie, and get in line at the very, very beginning. And I've certainly done that myself, so I've got no problem with it. This time, though, till I hear, "We're going to give extra benefits to people who buy early" I'm going to hang back and explore my options- with every intention of being there all 4 days. * If you buy a normal 4-day ticket you will be able to upgrade it to a VIP package once they are announced. -Campbell

sledmaster wrote:Thanks for the heads up. I just competed it and sent it out. I am not sure what I need to do as far as tickets. As some of you know that I am part of the R2 Builders group. I am sure that we will be getting a room or booth and I am not sure if I need to buy tickets or they will provide passes for us. I am hoping to get my R2 up and running by then. Or at least 90% finished. |

You know they don't have anything yet on the web site about getting entry if you or your group has a booth. I hope the Alliance can have a booth or share
one and I would hate for you to buy tickets and not need them if you get them with the booth. You might want to go to the Celebration V site and you may be
able to contact someone for information. If you find out let us know and if I here anything I will post it.

If you haven't heard yet Kenny Baker who plays R2D2 will not be attending Celebration V in 2010 due to ongoing health concerns. And with those concerns his
doctors do not want him to fly. I know he will be missed at Celebration V and we wish him well.

That's going to be more and more common as the casts and crews get up in age. If you want to meet these people, or perhaps get their autographs, before
they're gone the time is now.
