As we discussed in last night's small Orlando System/GFA meeting, we need to take the initiative to serve the community at large and show that the SWGFA can leave a good footprint in addition to bringing fans together. It's something we haven't focussed on in a long time. Times being what they are there are countless opportunities to make a positive impact on the world. Let's start a dialog about what you'd like to do and create a vision for what we want to and can accomplish. I'd like to see future group efforts, but this is a perfect place to talk about causes you support or already serve in any capacity. In addition to being the right thing to do, this kind of thing can help build our personal resumes, bring us legitimacy as a group, and even make us more attractive to Lucasfilm for future "endorsements." Who wouldn't love to follow the path of projects like the Pennsylvania Collecting Society's coin or the Seattle Area's recent pin one day?
