Hello everyone,
This is my first thread. I thought it might work in the E-VII thread, but since that is closed and this is something I haven't seen, I thought I'd put it up.
What about a Side-Quel? What I mean by this is an episode (or several) that shows a background story/side story that doesn't alter the I-VI storyline, but adds to it.
As an example.....would you want to see a film that brings us the story of Han, Chewy, and Lando and their origins? In V + VI, as well as in several pieces of canon, we see/hear that Han and Lando have a past and that Chewy owes Han for saving his life. Why not show this? Show the Empire cracking down on the wookiees. I thought that it would be cool if the film ended with Han + Lando having a falling out of some sort, and Han and Chewy in the MF with Han talking about visiting a cantina to pick up a few bucks.....
In any event, I suppose you could do something like this for several characters--maybe call them Episode 3.5 or something to signify that they are part of the chain of events.
Anyway, that's my thought. What do you think?
