I've spent the last couple of days trying to straighten it all out, but I didn't get a whole lot miore than you. I really meant to go back to get those chopsticks but a) I didn't have enough cash on me and they didn't accept credit, and b) I couldn't decide which set to get. I wanted Maul's magnetic ones and any of the blue or green ones, but they didn't come packaged that way. Any one want to part with a set of Star Wars chopsticks for $10? Twenty for the pair was about as good a price as I've ever seen.
Off the top of my head (I'm not home at the moment to check) I can think of these things I got:
Other than the chopsticks, things I really wanted but missed were:

Jessie was obsessed with the chopsticks, so not only is the answer no on the extras now, but she wants more. I think we will be scouting for them online next time.
Lol at the 3PO tape dispenser. That panel was fun and had some odd items that have been made over the years.
What do the underoos run now? I hadn't thought about them since I was a kid but saw them in the same panel as the tape dispenser. I'm almost afraid to know what they would be going for now.

Yeah, let me know if you ever find the chopsticks that cheap again. Maybe we could split postage if the price was right. If Jessie's actually using them, is an R2-D2 Soy Sauce dispenser far behind?
The C-3PO tape dispenser has gotten a lot of attention over the last few years because it's so bizarre and vaguely inappropriate. I've been wanting one for over a decade for the same reasons, but now I've got a lot of competition. Sometimes they sell for $150! The Underoos were $35 at the one seller, Toy Chamber, that I saw them. He had 3 or 4 different varieties all at the same price. -Campbell Help the SWGFA by buying through Amazon. |

You got free posters from Star Wars Insider?
Wow you guys got a lot of cool stuff. Hey Campbell, I also missed the day 3 cardback . I also want to thank you for pointing out the original movie programs. I never would have guessed that one could find something like that at a decent price. |

Then again, I really like the background with the decked out Star Destroyer deck. Also, you're the first person that I have "talked" to that got a tatoo at the show. I missed those posters from The Insider as well. Justin, thanks for pointing out The Toy Chamber (which is where we got the programs). -Campbell Help the SWGFA by buying through Amazon. |

Out of all the years I have gone to Celebrations, this is the one I spent the least at. Painful experience, but still found it fun to attend.
Got a box from a friend that went to SDCC the first day of CV. So I will clump that in wil my loot. 5 cereal boxes from the panels 3 of 5 patch slices galactic hero hasbro card backs Hodges promo print retro cards McQ ace ACME Chewie character key GG McQ Vader bust CV Staggs print CV Trevis print CV JAKe print JAKe 30th ESB print JAKe cardboard standee collection CV Walks & Retro print CV Walks Fett poster and a few other thursday freebies... oops...forgot to add: Collection of R2 builder & 501st patches R2 builders t shirts (x2) R2 Builders Instructor's manual & Guide (my favorite item!) There was so much more cool stuff I wanted to get from the store, so hope to see more stuff on SWSHop. You got a pretty great haul, there, Sharon! I really wanted the Hodges print, but I was just spending too much money elsewhere.

Well, you all know I'm no collector, plus the budget is tight, so my list is pretty small. Most of it's for the boy, but I did get a couple of little things for myself.
-Chopsticks (wanted the magnetics but stuck with the blue and green) -Her Universe "Daddy's Little Girl" tee (love the fit, hope she makes some new designs soon), and the re-usable shopping bag (nice touch) -Small plush trio of Yoda, R2 and Chewie -Stormtrooper lamp/alarm clock -Boba Fett USB flash drive - the 3d sculpt version by www.tymemachines.com -Ltd edition Boba Fett bobblehead - for free, the owner put it in my bag at checkout when I mentioned that having a two-year old son gave me an excuse to buy more neat stuff! Plus he made me a good "last day" deal on the lamp and flash drive. -LEGO R2 child's watch (my son is obsessed with R2 and watches) -"Expedition 16" NASA mission poster (the "Matrix" one) -word magnet set from the CV store (disappointed in the selection compared to CIV) -GH pilot Luke - a freebie someone gave me at lunch -three board books from Scholastic: Star Wars ABC, Heroes, and Ships - all autographed by the author, plus we were taped for a promo at their booth -SWGFA patch set which I paid for as a pre-order but never picked up, CAMPBELL! -Rouge squadron patch, some small Rebel Legion swag -Belgian Garrison "Dragon Squad" Tour 2010 USA patch (what nice guys) I'm sure I'm forgetting something. The shopping wasn't spectacular for me, but it was fun. |

Audtoo wrote:Chopsticks: before I realized they only accepted cash I spent a LONG time debating whether to get the colors I liked (green and blue) or the Maul magnetic pair with the purple chopsticks I didn't like. Boba Fett USB: I found it really odd that Lucasfilm licensed two different manufacturers of Star Wars USBs, but I did like the 3D version better. There is nothing wrong with a small loot. Having fun was most important. Before CV, I had not realized how many patches there are for different groups, clubs , garrisons, etc. Even though I cannot start seriously collecting patches , I thought it would be cool to see a large collection of them. I bet somebody in this world has a wall covered in patches. In a way , they're like pins. I wasn't asking for them, but on a few occasions , after having a friendly chat , someone would just hand one to me. "Cool , thanks man. What's this?"
One thing I was told to get was the Boba Fett postage cancellation mark on a Randy Martinez post card. It felt like that took about a hour and a half. Everyone in line kept saying; "Hey this is almost as slow as the post office where I'm from. Ha Ha Ha ". |

whendroidsfly wrote:Other than the patches I buy, that's how I got most of mine. It's neat, to make a connection with someone that they experience as a good-will encounter enough to offer you a token that they paid good money for. Last Celebration I was "adopted" by the Filipino outpost and they bequeathed their patches to me; this year it was the Belgians. I'm not a patch collector or trader, but I like the ones with memories. |

pazaak shark wrote:Size doesn't matter! What is the Sexy Ladies of Star Wars? I searched for it online and ran into some interesting pin-ups by concept artist Feng Zhu, but I assume that's not what you meant. Which type of Jawas were these? Only curious because I particularly like Jawas. I'm thinking it might be the miniatures (less than an inch tall), the Galactic Heroes (like big Smurf sized), or maybe Kubricks (like big LEGO figures). -Campbell Help the SWGFA by buying through Amazon. |

Who was it signed by, the designers? I think it must have been the Cartamundi booth. I saw it a couple of times but I think I blocked it out of my memory because I never could get the little card from the goodie bag in order to get the McQuarrie Aces. Really wanted those.
I also missed one single Art of Ralph McQuarrie trading card. Aaargh! I really wanted to complete that puzzle, but it's not to be, at least for now. -Campbell Help the SWGFA by buying through Amazon. |
