Posts: 526 Thu, Sep 23, 2010 5:30 PM Treasure Coast SW Club President Port Saint Lucie	Tags : None Ok I know we just had CV but I would like to start to plan for Fan Days IV, this is something that I would like to attend next year (If they still plan to have it). I know Jason and Jimmy had talked about it on their Podcast so I wanted to start a thread and I know it is early but I want to see who is interested in going. We have one last event for this year and I have some ideas for things for next year and there is no Celebration for a wile but that is for another thread. I do see the appeal of it though. Three or four years ago I passed on Star Wars Fan Days because I didn't know how good it would be. Reports from SWFDIII seem to be really positive, so I'll have to make some decisions as it gets closer. The same issue I always face is that I have limited time off and a limited budget. Despite the fact that Star Wars is my primary hobby I want to travel and have non-Star Wars vacations. I say this for my own sake and it's echoed even more so by my wife. I'm curious if it will even be a dedicated Star Wars Fan Days, and by this topic's title [Fan Days - 2011] I wonder if you're thinking the same. This year's Star Trek Fan Days has slowly morphed into just Fan Days encompassing a number of different franchises including Star Trek, BSG, and... Wayne's World. Not that there's anything wrong with that. In fact, it seems if it's successful this year it might be the plan for 2011. If it's not a dedicated Star Wars Fan Days would you plan to go? These shows are generally better than the big Celebrations due to the smaller size. There's so much packed into this two day event and there's plenty to keep yourself busy, but it's not so big that you get lost in the shuffle like can happen at the bigger shows. We had 24 Star Wars guests last year. For anyone looking for a website, here's the one from Fan Days III. The reason that this years Fan Days changed to Trek was due to Celebration V taking place in the same year, just a few short months afterwards. We'll be back to Star Wars in full force next year! Kon, if you do buy tickets soon I would make sure you have some way to inexpensively change them should you need. Better to do it now than be left holding the bag....and also, it helps the budget to spread things out. Can't complain though. Paid $13 for trip insurance, so I'm out that if the dates get moved. I doubt they would announce dates and then switch 'em. I am really looking forward to it. I know it's a long way out, but making travel plans keeps the addiction at bay.

Not sure about a hotel recommendation, but I just read that there's a HUGE football game in Dallas that same weekend next year. Because of this game, it's going to bring in over 100,000 additional people who will most likely be taking all the hotels in the next several months.
