How about we go around the Alliance and everybody introduce themselves. If you've got a picture to share, we'd love to see it. Lurkers come out- here's a thread so at last you can reveal yourselves to the GFA. You're also welcome to start your own thread, but this is a nice way to keep most of the introductions in one place. Veterans and newbies alike, have at it. I'll start. I'm Campbell aka Sabacc. I'm a Star Wars fiend and a collecting junkie. I'm extremely interested in film, music, pop culture and the related trivia. From the first Star Wars Generation, I live with my wife in a house overloaded with a random assortment of Star Wars collectibles, toys, and Indiana Jones memorabilia. I'm by no means a focused collector but I do have pride in my Star Wars books, magazines, pins, trading cards, action figures, imports, prints, autographs, t-shirts, soundtracks, and prop replicas. Posts: 102 Mon, Aug 30, 2010 2:02 PM *Florida*	Hello everybody, My name is Chase K. I'm sixteen and own a collection of a bout 200 items and is continually growing. I have been collecting for about five years. I'm the only younger collector that I know of. I regularly go to star wars weekends costumed as a jedi. I went to CV and had a blast. Here is a list of some of my rarer items: original piece of wampa fur, the new holo stich as emporer fig ( I got number 6), a force unleashed battle rancor that is missing the target sticker, four cereal boxes from the collecting panels at cv, and a 2006 certificate that was given to me when I participated in the jedi training academy. I wanted to say hello and give a shout out to any younger collectors. May the force be with you all, Chase K.

That's great that you're enjoying collecting so much- I do too, at a far older age. While I enjoy the Clone Wars, I tend to collect items that mostly represent the movies. At 16 do you focus on any particular era or theme or just collect whatever strikes you as cool? I try to collect anything unique and different. Whether it be an odd package or an odd item. I have a lot more recent stuff but I would love to collect vintage. I don't collect vintage because it's a little pricey and I can't find it in good condition unless I look on Ebay. I am also starting to get into autograph collecting. There are no kids in my neighborhood that knows what a blue snaggletooth or vinyl cape jawa is so I'll be able to express myself here. Many times I will say that I was born in the wrong decade because of my love for vintage star wars items. Well thank you all for replying and hopefully I'll be able to meet you all in near future. I like the idea of a place for the different fan groups in FL to come together. I know that some groups don't get along but that doesn't mean that everyone in those groups are snobs or stuck up. I'm part of the Southern R2 Builders Group. Every one in the builders group here in FL has always been so super nice. I'm glad to meet another fan group that has also been so super nice. I know not very creative with the user ID. I've gone by many names on many different places but you can call me what ever you like as long as it's nice. Jessica

I know what you mean about weird politics in groups and tension sometimes. It's a shame, because when it's all boiled down, we're into this stuff because we all have Star Wars in common. I'm glad that a couple of you from the Southern R2 Builders are checking in, and I hope you start to see some of our people dropping in on your forums. It's great that the Builders welcome in both full-fledged Builders and people that are casually interested in seeing neat robots. I know you mentioned that you don't usually have time for message boards and I can certainly understand that, but I hope you or Aaron or another person in the group will occasionally update us on what the Builders group is up to. Aaron is such a nice guy were so lucky you guys share him with us. LOL Believe it or not I really enjoy watching my husband build. I don't think I would have wanted one so badly if it wasn't for Brenda & Carolyn. I'm so glad I did. I have to admit that the past 2 year I've gone to Megacon and didn't have a droid but it's so much fun watching people interact with the droids. When you combine costumes & others into the mix it's amazing. I love the interaction with others and talking to them about building them. It doesn't mater if they build one or not. It's not about that. Although I have to say some of the best comments from fans were how they really appreciated our droids because they couldn't believe we built them on our owns and in our homes. Many thought they all belonged to Disney. I do know that the group is commited to Megacon. We are hoping that once the weather has cooled down to have another build day. I'll When ever one pops up I'll let you guys know so even if you don't want to build one just curious or want to get to know everyone you are more than welcome.
