I find myself buying more and more items through them lately. I'll typically order almost all of my books, music, movies and even Christmas presents through them. To be honest, I hardly ever actually go to the store anymore (WalMart, Best Buy, Target, etc.). I have an Amazon Prime account which costs $79.00 a year which is $6.58 a month. With this account, I get free 2-day shipping on items sold direct from Amazon or $3.99 per item for overnight shipping. There's no tax involved and they generally pack items very well. I've got the new Star Wars Visions: Comics* book and the Blu-Ray Star Wars Saga on pre-order right now. With the upgraded shipping, I'll have them just about the same time as anyone would buying them in the store. Really, there's nothing you can't find on this site. With most of my purchases being Star Wars related, I think it's safe to say that other than exclusives from other sites (StarWarsShop.com), if I'm ordering something online, it's through them. I'm not in a hurry for my items so I don't use Amazon Prime, I just make sure my orders are $25 or more for the free SuperSaver shipping. However, one big perk of Amazon Prime that they just added is free streaming video, similar to Netflix's on demand service included in the price. I've got a Blu-Ray player that's currently not connected to the internet is linked to my Amazon account, so if I when I hook that up, that's something I might buy into. My Dad got me into Amazon more than a decade ago and I love that I can typically get the lowest prices and still have great service, selection, and features. One of the features I really like is the Wish Lists. I wish everyone had a Wish List. I get after my dad to keep his up to date so I know what he might like for holidays. They've got an interesting Universal Wish List app so you can add non-Amazon products there. I've used it and it works well, but I don't like extra toolbars and things crowding my screen. I've also had very good luck buying used items through Amazon in the last couple of years. When I find something like that I usually check Half.com and compare the used prices and conditions and pick one of the two places to buy my item. Amazon is certainly my most common place to buy online but I also regularly buy from eBay, Rebelscum sellers, Star Wars Shop, and TeeFury. We have an Amazon Associates account here at the SWGFA so if you follow the link in my signature or to particular products, the GFA gets a small advertising fee that we can use to keep the board running and to bring about the big and small gatherings. A couple of particularly good deals I just noticed yesterday are the Clone Wars Blu-Ray collections, season 1 and season 2. Susan and Ric (GFA table volunteers, OS members) won an advance copy of it at CV from Scholastic. It's a cool feature, but the titles that are free compared to those that you have to pay for is quite drastic. The free movies are mostly older films and from what I can, nothing brand new. The essential one is the Comprehensive Guide. Fantastic book. Scratch that. They're gone already. Their company, Completist Publications, is the seller so it's shown as "fulfillment by Amazon."
