I (Walter, AKA Walter T) followed up Walt's donation with one of my own. I think he put up $10 and I put up $5. It took a few seconds via paypal. Darth Walts have banded together. Join us and lets maintain order in the boards. If you plan to spend more than an hour here in the next few months, $5 is definitely worth the investment. Search your feelings, you know this to be a solicitation. I wasn't going to let Walt's donation stand unanswered, and let him get all the credit.

It's weird, I doesn't show the other Walt's payment in our chest. I wonder if it has something to do with him paying by pay pal. Walt, you might want to check on that and make sure it went through.

Hey gang, I put in $6 by paypal today and it showed up in the chest immediately. I did it as an "instant transfer" from my bank (which processes immediately). Also did you follow the instructions from ezboard which said that after you finish up at paypal you have to hit "continue" so it will direct you back to ezboard and apply the payment correctly? That is what I did. I did not see the other two contributions.
I figured it was worth $1/month to keep hanging out with you guys.

Alright Audtoo, thanks for the contribution. But you are right, I saw your payment as well but the others are not on there. I am like you, I thinks it worth a few bucks to get to chat and hang with fellow SW fans.

Apparently, the $5 donation I made by paypal has been delayed by my group of electons (my paypal transaction) going awol. But from what I know about Al Gore, I bet he woudn't have made an internet where emails can just fizzle into the ether. So, I bet that sooner or later, the electrons will have no choice but to reassemble into that paypal transaction and I'll be able to rightfully claim to be half the hero that Walt is. Apparently, I'm destined to be overshadowed by him. I bet he's taller than 5 foot 6. He probably drives something SLIGHTLY better than a 2001 Toyota Corolla, and he probably earns $2000 per year more than me

We gotta find this money, if only to get it back into your hands. I can't see exactly what you've done, but this is not gone. I'm wondering if it's related to some misdirection of the money. I know when you are sending money to an e-mail address it doesn't matter if it's to the correct address or not. Paypal will show the money has been removed even if someone has not claimed it.
If I were you I'd sign into my (your  ) account and cancel the payment. Ideally I'd see if a second attempt worked, reading all the instructions carefully. There's got to be a reason for this, and there's no reason for you to be out your money.This doesn't prove anything but I've made scores of Paypal payments and a few refunds. I've even made a couple of payments to ezBoard at this point and I've never had an error. |

COOL! After a lifetime of reading sci-fi and JLA stories about alternate universes, I finally get to exprience the phenomenon first hand. If you click on that link above, it takes you to an alternet set of boards that look just like ours. It may be Earth Prime. This is cool. Possibly, it was I that "jumped" dimensions, and now I'm in Earth Prime's timestream.

 I went ahead and paid the other 14.00 we needed to keep our gold status. I had the money and some people were having problems with the pay pal so I wanted to just get it over with. If the pay pal payments do go through, then I guess we just have a surplus. I just wanted you all to know. I will be online from now until waiting for the meeting. For those who don't know, any surplus contributions stay in the account towards a Gold Community renewal, so any "extra" money will just make us that much closer to having enough for a renewal the next time around. We cannot spend it on anything else, so your money won't be wasted or misappropriated in any way. Now if we can only figure out what's going on with those PayPal transactions! |
