By my own admission this was something of a trick question. Without getting into an argument regarding star wars canon, the original radio drama was my initial source.
The radio production indicated the rebel alliance, after attacking the imperial convoy transferring the death star plans, succeeded in securing them, the plans were held on a rebel outpost on Toprawa until the transmission to the Tantive IV from there. Wookieepedia gives a much more involved an intrigue filled account which indicates different parts of the complete death star plans being transmitted to the Tantive from different sources in different locations and experiencing several harrowing escapes prior to its capture by Vader. Though not a popular source, the radio drama is as canon as the movies to me. All other variations on the story came well afterwards. I will except that a shuttle would have been sent above the planet for final transmission to conceal the outpost and make the Radio Drama and ANH seem more consistent with each other. |

Trois.
One was blown up by the unit commandered by Chewbacca and pals, one crushed between the tree suspended logs and one toppled by the rolling logs. Any others don't count cuz' I don't remember seeing them. I have an addendum to the Balcony question which is What specific building (by name) was that balcony attached that that meeting could have endangered Sidious's identity? (Since I hadn't caught the question prior to just reading about this I was amused since I was going to ask myself, thank you very much I had to come up with something else LOL) Okay now my new and improved question....
