It's very worth it to listen to the 36 minute mark.

Aaron wrote,
Of course its worth listening.Nice! Mr. Barnhill got a shout out! And then Roman, too! Plus the Fan Days II Chris-mas story. Very cool! The only reason I didn't plan on listening to the full show is that they gave the caveat at the beginning. I paraphrase here: "We may be wasting your time with fake stories so be aware that anything you hear could be b.s." Turned me off so I turned them off. |

Nah, I think there was only two news stories they covered that were fake. Other than that, it was the simple joy of The Force-cast as usual.

I ended up listening to most of it last night after all. I was surprised to enjoy the Jad Bean interview. I have known about his campaign since the Force-Casts
began, but I'd forgotten or never knew about his travels. It was interesting to hear the Sarlacc pieces history after seeing an actual piece at your last
gathering, Chris.

Lt. Renz, Rebelscum scum. | #28 | ||
|
Chris, do you happen to recall my comment when the GG Lt. Renz mini-bust was nearing release? I said, "I hope Rebelscum doesn't keep it at the top of
their page for months and months so we have to scroll past it till they sell out." Oi, what do you call a mini-bust pegwarmer? I can't blame Philip
(Wise, the owner) for trying to unload his stock but I'm so sick of seeing that ad that I have less interest in getting that bust than ever before.
edit: for the sanity of anyone reading this, I deleted the excess postings (of this same text). -s72

sabacc72 wrote:Wow, posting the same thing three times. You must really mean it, eh? Yeah, it was a bit unfortunate how Gentle Giant demanded that the edition size be so high. That really did kill any chance of this being one of those rare, special pieces. It really is one of the coolest Mini-Busts they've ever done, but 2500 was way too many to make. This should have been 1000 at the very most. What's crazy to me is that the average selling price on eBay is $80.00 when you can just buy it from the website for $65.00 plus shipping. Ha, sorry about the massive multi-post. It seems Yuku may not be totally comaptible with the new IE 8.0. Ooops.
I agree it's a well-made piece, it's just that there are quite a few Imperial officers I'd prefer to Renz in an action pose. How much longer do you think he'll keep that up. I'm afraid it'll be the Rebelscum 2009 banner. |

sabacc72 wrote:Yeah, I'd love to see more officers for sure. Thing is, this piece IS Rebel Scum. I don't see Philip taking down the ad anytime soon unless they were to sell out. That's pretty much the only thing for sale right now in the RS store. Imagine a new fan discovering RS for the first time who hasn't seen the ad yet. The Bust is worth every penny paid. That's a cool idea, especially given the relationship Newman and Cline have maintained with the Force-Cast. Great bonus!

Oh my gosh! What a great show last night. Dan Madsen and Jay Shepard joined Jason and Jimmy as they held the Star Trek Round-table. The stories from
Dan alone made this worth listening to. If you get the chance to download it, do it!
Picture this: Dan was running both the Star Wars and Star Trek fan clubs at the same time...for 15 years! Dan read for the part of Willow, got called back a second time, but was beat out by Warwick Davis. He was then called back to run the Lucasfilm Fan Club. What was his first job? Covering Willow of course! Administrator - RebelScum.com, Wedge Collection Engine & The Registry

The longer the show the less I'm likely to listen to it soon or listen to it all (meaning I might skip large chunks). I don't have that sort of time to
commit each week.
