As a rule it's not about the collectibles side of things, that'd be here in the Sandcrawler . It's also not for specific Star Wars Weekends, as they'll be covered in the Events section. This is for the revamping of Star Wars and Indiana Jones attractions at any Disney venue, with an emphasis on Disney's Hollywood Studios, since that's the best- er, the closest one. A few days ago, all-things-Disney site Jim Hill Media reported on some interesting rumors about the Lucas/Disney connection. Check it out here, there are some neat developments afoot! The end of the article contained this line: "Next up for Landis is another nostalgia-oriented project--a redo of the Star Tours ride at Disneyland. The big question...will Captain EO make a comeback?" 'Indiana Jones' graphics meant to go unnoticed Thought that was pretty cool. Some hard evidence that they are working on updating the ride.

I am sure that someone on in this club all ready mentioned about changing or upgrade the Star Tours ride. It would be great to see that. But only time will tell if Disney will be willing to do.

Posts: 717 Thu, Jun 5, 2008 3:52 PM *Deltona*	I was on the Star Tours ride about 2 months ago. I couldn't help but notice how dated some of it seemed already. The ride itself hasn't been around all too long, but the screen clarity and mechanics seemed a little out of date from comparable rides like Spider-Man or The Simpsons. I hope they revamp it and bring the quality up a bit.

Star Tours opened here in Florida in 1989 and the ride was developed in 1986 for Disneyland. I love that we have a Star Wars attraction in the area, but I think it's very nearly a disservice being so out of step with current ride technology. I have high hopes that by the 20th anniversary of our ride that we'll at the very least have a new film. About two weeks ago, an interview with a special effects artist for Indy and the Crystal Skull revealed that his current project is a re-vamp of Star Tours. No official word has come down the pike, but this is welcome news for those of us that would like to be proud of the ride again.

Thanks for the link to that place, I've never heard of it, but it sounds interesting. I'm curious as to what that actually is. It's too small to be the main AT-AT outside Star Tours. I'd wager that it's the AT-AT from FAO Schwartz. I've seen that flat head before.

I'll be back there on Friday to pick up some furniture we bought so I'll try to get some better pics. For anyone looking for a life sized Jar Jar you can see him on the left too.

Does anyone have any experience with them? I'm considering ordering their Indiana Jones special and 4 CDs of master recordings from the attraction.

Posts: 6068 Mon, May 4, 2009 1:31 PM Consul - Orlando System Baron Admin	Some news, finally. Slash.com reports that shooting has begun on Star Tours II footage. Yesterday was the third day of a secret LucasFilm film shoot in West Hollywood. If you were allowed to enter the "LODESTAR" production stage, you would've seen Boba Fett, Admiral Ackbar, a Tusken Raider, and even some Jawas. C3PO himself Anthony Daniels will be filming later this week. So what is LucasFilm shooting? The good news is that George Lucas isn't making a another Star Wars movie (not yet anyways) or additional scenes for some super duper special edition. And No, the Star Wars live-action television series has yet to begin production. LucasFilm is shooting new footage for the Disney's Star Tours ride. The ride really hasn't been updated since it opened in 1987. It's not the total podracer reboot that was rumored a few years back, thank God. I'm hearing that its essentially the same ride but updated. It sounds to me like they might be shooting the footage in 3D, but I'm not sure. Our source reveals that the revamp will incorporate prequel characters (like Naboo citizens and Geonosians) along with many aliens from the original trilogy (Aqualish. Bith, Rodians, etc). In the action sequence, the Star Tours vehicle is now going to be chased by Boba Fett. C3PO and R2-D2 are still the hosts, and Anthony Daniels will be recording his parts this week. Admiral Ackbar holographically communicates with the Star Tours vehicle. Right now they're shooting mostly green screen footage, as it is the middle part of the production timeline.

As Sallah and Indy are raising the Ark to your right, straight across from them to your left at eye level are wall carvings featuring foot-tall R2-D2 and C-3PO. My new favorite part of the ride.
