[EDIT: newly added intro and Title] {original post:} Welcome to a new chapter in the Sandcrawler. In an effort to prevent lurking scalpers from getting the goods before our Alliance does, I think I've limited access to this section. It's a work in progress. Please let me know what you think and if it's accomplishing what we hope to. The way I set it up is to have only designated people be able to view this section. Posts: 979 Sun, Jun 24, 2007 5:48 PM Palm Bay	This is great . My first reports will probably tell of when to expect the new Ultimate Galactic Hunt action figures to arrive. There will be 3 different UGH figures per case. They will not be repeated in consecutive cases so if you missed it at one store you might have to look elsewhere. Most stores have only been stocking one revision case at a time. Some busier Targets might have 2 of each revision cases but those stores have more people shopping there , ready to grab them quickly. When these UGH figures come out, they will be easy to spot because of the gold coin and "Star Wars" will be written in gold instead of white.

Here's what I've got for you today. TARGET MILLENIA: Jack Squat, unless you're looking for the Luke/R2 comic pack. JABBA'S HUTT: Well, this one's too late. The store at the final day of Star Wars Weekends had the Minnie, Donald, and Goofy big figs, the Cantina Band exclusives, and little else of interest. The weekend pins were long gone. I picked up the Vintage 6 (with coins), an original sketch of the Donaldtrooper, and one Cantina dude.

However, I think one of us should meet each member authorized to view the section before they get access. The good news is that we can remove their access should they be revealed as evil scalpers , but hopefully that'll never be necessary and we can keep a nice Alliance. Point is, once we're sure a member is for real, they are absolutely going to be welcomed.

Sharon has always been concerned of lurker/scalpers and even talking to Justin I've pulled back significantly on giving store reports. Hopefully this will make us all more comfortable without feeding the beast. There are a ton of legitimate collectors in town. Hopefully one day we'll all be a lot more cooperative with one another. Thanks to all of you that are and will be chiming in here.

It is good and if you go on wed night( I think) they put the boxes out for the guys to put on shelves. I have cleaned up there in the past. Also the local comic stores go to alot of places in the area and buy cases from target and walmart. I have seen the guy from Bad apple in there with 3 carts. He might be one that looks here to get Ideas. I like this idea. Good one campbell!!!!

We have folks that have come from Europe to buy things here to ship home in bulk. Some of these folks have made enough money here to buy homes in Florida along with their homes back in Europe. They are buying our local hot toys & exclusives, and shipping them elsewhere at a huge profit. These individuals buy things by the pallet at OUAT. The cast members actually call them to report the newest hottest items. Not to mention all the collectors coming here for a vacation that pillage our local stores. This is in addition to the small time scalpers and opportunist collectors that flip anything hot to support their hobby. Sharon www.RadicalRay.com

Following a lengthy conversation he hnaded me a hard-to-get figure while explaining that he had dozens more at home. He also described buying pallet after pallet of stock, mostly in Orlando. This guy was from Germany I believe. Personable guy, but he made no bones about taking vast quantities of the local toy deals.

The employees at these places do the same thing. Hell I would. We need a young guy to work at TRU and help us out. The pay isnt great there, but for a young person it would work. Also, I have seen foreiners at places doing the same. The guy at walmart I talked to was rude and treated me and my friend like we were stupid. I was ready to kill him for taking so much stuff.

It was once fun, but the frustration of it was certainly a contributing factor to my moving into higher end collectibles. After 6 or 7 years of aggressive toy runs, I retired. I actually compensate one of my friends who is out in the trenches daily, he shops for my toys these days. Who has the time any more? And fuel costs? To have minimum wage employees taunt you? But it is nice to know that I can share info without the wrong person taking advantage of it. I just hope to be able to post about sales or extra inventory at certain stores. The Walmart at S. John Young Parkway has had some pretty good finds in the past. Also the Target in Longwood . I'm looking forward to some Once Upon a Toy reports sometime.

Also, in the last two weeks they've put back signs that explain that they will not go check the storeroom and may limit how many collectible items a person may purchase. This is not new for a Target to post these signs, but it is disappointing. Before I come down on them, it's most likely because customers abused the privilege by asking for backstock constantly.

In my heyday of toy runs I was making a lot more special trips. Often I would see the car collectors and to my relief most were very focused on their own hobby exclusively. So I only had to race the goateed fanboys, takes one to know one, in my quest to get to the action figure aisle. Things may have changed, though. Ebay makes it exceedingly easy to unload hard to find finds, so anything's possible.

I was in Target Millenia today and they had nothing of interest beyond lots of Sage figures from mid-2006. If you need a Geonosis Padme, a pair of camo Battle-Droids, or the Death Star gunner, make a trip. Otherwise, save your gas. Also, I was surprised to note that they only had one Titanium ship (a sandcrawler).
