Nice catch, Tony!
I just received a classic Cylon helmet from Battlestar Galactica. It looks very good- and the roving eye sends chills up my spine- but I'm seriously
considering posting it on eBay for just what I paid (which was too much).

Tough sell. Hmm. If you want to see it, you're welcome to come over and take a look. After receiving it today, I've now listed it in a 7-day auction, so in a perfect world it'd be gone
next weekend. I'd really like to just erase the experience from my memory as fast as possible.
If I'd paid $200 for this thing I'd be totally satisfied and thrilled with the addition to the collection. At $500, this is not nearly as cool. The pros- it's easier to see out of than a Star Wars helmet. The roving eye looks really great and displays well. The chrome looks great and sitting across the room from me it looks like I've saved a trophy after besting a Centurion. The cons- it's lopsided- less than the Stormtrooper and not notable from the front. The seam down the middle bugs me. I've searched lots of clips of BSG, and it seems that most of the Cylon helmets were just like this. However, I guess the kid in me expected this to be metal. Ah, who knows. If it doesn't sell I might up and invest in a voicebox for the thing. I love the Cylon voices better than Troopers. "By your command." Cylon voice. -Campbell

Not Star Wars, but I am excited just the same!
Found a fresh, rebuilt engine (Ford 6.6) AND transmission(w/ shift kit) with BRAND NEW Holley carb for $1000 delivered. This will save me not just $$$, but LOTS of time! Was looking to send my old ones out for rebuild. So it looks like BOTH Ford Ranchero's have brand new motors, and should be out of the shop soon. One Hot Rod, one Stock. Thank goodness business has been good the last few weeks! Star Wars collectibles are not the only things found on the cheap! Will be so glad to wrap up work on these trucks, Fire Academy is next.... http://www.OrlandoMobileTinting.com |

Where's Justin been lately? He'd be on of us that would understand the tech specs there.
Glad to hear the progress, though! -Campbell

I was having problems loading many web pages on-line. That is great news Sharon. I'm not an expert on big block Ford motors. As a novice, I like to think
of a more familiar motor for comparison . So knowing that many stock mustang 5.0s can produce around 300 hp(depending on the year ,and mods), I would guess
that the 6.6 400 could produce over 380 hp and tons of torque(great for trucks). That is a big motor. The only time I've really looked at one close up , it
was in a late 70's Thunderbird. Will you have the same size motor in both Rancheros?
I'm glad you were able to find one that is ready or close to ready to being dropped in. I try to avoid engine rebuilds after having to rebuild a couple of 4 cylinders. It's not the actual rebuild that becomes a pain, it is the preparation and cost of parts that made me wish I had other options (like buying another complete running motor). My acquisitions; hasbro wave7 concept art style Anakin figure. Got my first wave 6 figures; Needa, Hoth rebel, Ugnaught. Still looking for the rest but I'm know they will show up. |

Justin! We missed you!
For a novice, you know your engines pretty well. The car stats: 77 Ford Ranchero-400/351M motor w/ C6 transmission (stock w/ 4 barrel carb & dual flowmaster exhaust) 72 Ranchero-351 Cleveland motor w/C4 transmission) (NOT stock, drag built motor, Holley 750 double pumper carb, ceramic coated headers & dual flowmaster exhaust) Having motors rebuilt IS a pain, nice to find great deals on ready-to-install drive trains. The economic times have produced some amazing deals! So with all this Ford stuff goin' on, hoping to chill on SW collectible purchases for a bit. On my recent trek to Kentucky I generally had no time for fun and games but did manage to find a great comic store where I scored Micro Machines Transforming
Head Playsets of the TIE Pilot and Royal Guard, as well as a beater vintage snowspeeder for parts.

Cool Sharon . It looks like the '72 will be the hot rod.
Campbell, I've bought incomplete and worn out vintage toys a few times when they're cheap. Last week I got these new figures; Ugnaught , Needa, hoth Rebel, and concept art Anakin in black. |

Nice choice of figures, those are the ones I've considered recently. I also have an interest in Yularen, the Commando Droids, and a villain protocol droid from the CW line. Despite this, I haven't bought a figure in months. -Campbell

I stopped preordering GG stuff some time ago, and it looks like that will hurt now that GG is lowering edition sizes on certain pieces.
Since I have bought so many things on the cheap, paying above retail is not something I really want to do. Wah!!! In search of: Garindan, At At Driver and Aalya Secura. My GG Jabba set up should arrive today. http://www.OrlandoMobileTinting.com |

Yeah, now is the time to start pre-ordering all of the upcoming Gentle Giant Mini-Busts as edition sizes are getting less and less. Who would have thought that
the AT-AT Driver and Garindan would be going for $100+ already? I've currently got 18 Mini-Busts on pre-order. Not taking any chances as I think we've
seen the last of $25.00 blow out clearance prices on these for quite some time. As it should be too. I hate seeing these pieces fall below retail value just
months after their release. If we're going to pay $60.00 for something, why should it lose 50% of it's value the moment we open it?
Sharon and Campbell, best of luck finding good deals on the pieces you seek. Administrator - RebelScum.com, Wedge Collection Engine & The Registry
