Have you seen the upcoming Darth Maul with Bloodfin Speeder? It uses the same clever "floating" gimmick. I think I may have to aim for this one.

Now I've seen it. I have to think about getting that guy. It is a cool effect and I like how it compliments the Scout. I just really wish he was on his speeder.
Back to the Scout, I saw one sell for over $300 once. Now they are selling for under $200.00 on ebay. I'm sure I'll be able to get one soon. |

SDCC preoders went live yesterday for convention pick up of exclusives. Commander Cody is the exclusive for the show along with a few other pieces.

Attention, just saw the first Bly mini bust on ebay. Not bad pricing. UK Forbiddon planet had them and now on ebay. He looks great. Just bid on one, hopping not to pay 300+ for it.

Thankfully getting this one at retail, same with Cody and Bacara. Neyo will only be mine if I can buy the 5 pack from GG later this Summer. I say sit tight, the price should come down a bit as eBay get flooded with them. I bet Bly will be $150ish?
My spending limit is $100 for any one mini bust. If I cannot get it under that price, I cannot have it. (This was a rule I made for myself when I came into this game) Sharon

The Neyo will never get that low. Maybe 250.00ish. It is way to limited of a peice. Commander BLY is coming down as we speak. I am seeing them for 220.00. The problem is shipping from UK. Some of these fools want 50.00 bucks. It aint going that far!

Heh, the old shipping trick is so the seller can avoid some of the eBay fees. The shipping cost is not figured into the final value fee.

The shipping is a way to dupe you into thunking you got a good price on it. One bust is 200.00 and the shipping is 90.00 bucks. That is crazy. These idiots will flood the market in a few days and I can get one for a decent price. Just have to wait.

If you are part of the Premium Guild, you have a shot at buying exclusives after the event. Membership is $50, and there is some free mystery gift you will get at some point. It is a raffle system to get a chance to purchase.
Out of 9 raffles so far, I haven't won a single chance to purchase an exclusive yet. The last raffle, for Neyo, only members from the NorthEast area were chosen. (random?) Ny, Ma, Nj, etc. (Just FYI if you are thinking of spending the $50, it hasn't helped me at all yet.) No FL winners. After the conventions are done for the season, GG will have 500 5- packs of the Clones, one from each event. These will be available for a raffle chance purchase to Premium members only. Good times! I think if you are patient, and wait until later in the year, prices on eBay will drop. Once people get their 5 packs, many will have extras to sell or trade. If you MUST purchase one on eBay, shop wisely.  Sharon

Any HP collectors here? There is a 5th year Harry Potter Bust, limited to 1000. It has a light up feature and is exclusive to Suncoast, Sam Goody & FYE stores.

I'm not planning on buying into the smaller $30.00 busts, but the upcoming Momaw Nadon might rope me in. The Snowtrooper looks pretty spiffy, too. Can't wait for these to get the mini-bust treatment.

They are making some cool pieces for the classics line, but I am not wanting to start a new series. If I see a dramatic price drop, I may pick them up. Time will tell. Trying...to...resist...
GG did not have much for SW this time around at SDCC, and I am pleased. The Dooku & Asaj statue looks great, but I am out of the EU collecting. The animated Emperor proto looks sweet! Indy riding his horse is coming along nicely, (with some attention needed on the horse's smaller than scale legs). It will be nice to get caught up on some of the great products offered this year. Thankfully, the same goes with SideShow. Sharon

Yeah, I'm really glad they pulled out most of the stops for the Celebrations. Comic-Con's great, but the SW manufacturers ought to focus on the official SW events in the years they occur. Talk about a captured audience.

Was there a liquidation of AotC C-3PO mini-busts recently? Ebay's prices have gone down to well below $100 delivered on these. I'm probably going to order one from Singapore after I sleep on it.

I know what you mean about making $pace for the Commander Clones, but based on how many AotC busts I'm seeing from overseas right now, it looks like maybe someone bought a bunch of remaining stock from the Art of Star Wars exhibit in Singapore (that this was exclusive to) and is unloading them.
I'm planning on ordering from this place in Singapore. I've asked to get a price quote for sending two, just in case any one else is also looking for this mini-bust. They've got eight in stock at this price (and more at various higher prices) so I'm not too afraid that I'm going to lose it. Either way, I expect I'll order Monday so post if you want to join me on this. |
