Topps is adding a new Evolutions set to it's line-up. The new set will come with three 'holy grail' signatures limited to one per signer- Lucas, Guinness, and Cushing.
I'll buy a few packs, the odds have got to be better than the lottery. source |

I got fished in by a deal at Wal-mart. In their trading card section I bought a box of 24 packs of SW cards for $9.97 in hopes of getting a Heritage pack or two, and maybe a Clone Wars or e3 pack (as shown on the box). I got 24 packs of the defunct Decipher CCG. It's not a total loss, there are some neat cards, but be aware that it's very possible that you'll end up with garbage if you bite the hook like I did.

Bummer!
 I gave up on trading cards long ago, too many crazy chase cards. Easier to buy a complete set CHEAP off of eBay, and skip the chase cards alltogether. Sharon

Anyone pick up any new Evolutions cards. I haven't made it into a comic shop in a while, but I still am interested in buying a pack- it's a lottery ticket for an Alec Guiness autograph as far as I'm concerned.

Anybody? I keep forgetting to look for these in comic shops, but I have seen them at Target or something like it. These are low priority but I'm still interested.

I was able to score another one of the SWS.com Exclusive Holiday Special cards yesterday. That brings my total up to five or six now. I still need a #1 of
course, but I have something to work with at least. If anyone wants to trade, I've got plenty of #9's!

I see SWS still lists them as in stock in my cart, but the banner is missing. Are they still sending these out with orders? I've only placed two and was
fortunate enough to get two different cards.

I'm getting down to the wire here. I only need three or four more cards to complete the Holiday Special set. I need #1 of course and then a few others.
Anyone else get any from SWS.com orders lately? I've still got plenty of #9's for trade.

And it appears the Holiday Special cards are not being sent in current orders anymore. My shopping cart at SWS says that they are out of them. I got... 2.

Wow, just counted mine up and I'm only missing #1 and #11. That's too bad that they are sold out. Will make getting the last two I need rather

Received the basic card set of Star Wars Galaxy series 4 this week. I recognize about half the images and think this might be one of the most consistently
great sets to date. I just wish these images were far bigger. Really, really impressive.

I agree with that. I really do love the cards I have so far in this series. It is a shame they are not bigger then they are...especially the Boba Fett cards

Do you know that I still have never completed my Holiday Special set? I still need #1 and #11 I believe. Haven't looked at them in some time, but I just forgot about them until now.

I was very happy to complete my Celebration V Ralph McQuarrie and ForceCast sets. It was really nice to have such a small number of cards to find, 9 and 6, respectively.
I collect very few these days, but I prize my 70s and 80s original cards. I also try to buy basic sets of the best editions that come down the pike. I'm generally able to pass on all the Clone Wars ones, but I really like some autograph cards, especially the Indiana Jones ones. -Campbell Help the SWGFA by buying through Amazon. |
