So I'm posting an entirely new thread: The Making of a Jedi Communicator Prop! I've created a sort of photo tutorial documenting this little creation. Post your thoughts, ideas, recommendations, questions, etc. here. Enjoy!

Also do you think we could have a comunicator making party when possible? And if not Is it possible to download the photos so we can folow that tutorial ourselves? I would love to have my own comunicator. My Ally is the force. And a Powerfull Ally it is! May the force be with you!

It reminds me of when I was a kid (decades ago) and I bought battleship model kits and turned them in to ficticious spaceships because I'd heard that's what the Star Wars special effects people did. We built a death star out of a big cardboard box, complete with the bridge that Luke and Leia swung across and a working trash compactor (filled that section with shredded newspaper, added a false wall and a stick to push it). Those were the days; kids aren't nearly as creative now. Now they sell entire playsets we could never have afforded!

Posts: 835 Sat, Mar 17, 2007 1:22 AM *Kissimmee*	I have essentially completed my jedi comm. though sadly I haven't gotten pics yet. Audrey was a bad influence though (just kidding dear). I hadn't looked at her pics in a very long time and mine has ended up having some of the same distinguishing pieces and parts so I must have had the images buried in my subconscious that they already looked so cool. Probably the most blatant unintentional rip off of anyone else's work that I've done. Though It's definitely more showy and maybe too delicate for everyday wear. I'll end up making another.
