I mostly watch DVDs and I don't have cable so there's not much that I try to catch these days. One that I do try to see these days is "My Name is Earl." I tuned in for Jason Lee and the critical praise, I stayed because it's a damn funny show. Very well written with plenty of potential. -Campbell

Posts: 6068 Sun, Dec 18, 2005 9:57 PM Consul - Orlando System Baron Admin	Anybody seen Wonder Showzen? I mentioned it on the rogue boards early this year but hadn't seen it since then. It was on M2 but now appears on MTV. If you like your humor absurd and irreverant, this is worth a look. It's hard to describe, but it's a mish mash of insane quick puppet skits, animation, and interviews with little brats. Some things don't work, but in the four or five episodes I've seen, each has a line or situation that I don't think I'll ever forget.

It stars Tom Cavanaugh (Scrubs' JD's brother / Ed) as a record artists' rep. It also features the lady that played Kitty on a number of episodes of Arrested Development and Brandon from 90210.

When I first returned to toy collecting in the early 90s I bought tons of Next Gen action figures. I remember thinking it was too bad they didn't make Star Wars toys anymore....

Anyone remember the one where Picard first learns to play the flute (he lives another man's life for many years while unconscious on the Enterprise for a few hours)?

Posts: 1278 Thu, Jan 19, 2006 3:56 PM *St. Charles, MO*	TNG had many good episodes, but my heart lies with the original crew. I grew up watching reruns of TOS and the movies. I never really got into any of the other series after TNG. DS9 was okay, but I stopped watching after the first two or three seasons. Voyager pretty much just sucked balls so I quit watching halfway through the first season. Enterprise was okay most of the time in the first season, but it all seemed overly familiar, nothing felt fresh, so my interested waned. I think TNG peaked in seasons 3 - 5, but the other seasons had some gold to mine as well.

This show just continues to build momentum and makes me count the days until the next episode is on. It also looks like Arrested Development may be saved by either ABC or Showtime - so great news there!

Posts: 6068 Fri, Jan 27, 2006 2:41 AM Consul - Orlando System Baron Admin	Anyone ever watch Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy? It's a British mini-series of the book by John Le Carre. I picked it up because it stars Alec Guiness, who filmed it betweeen Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back. I sometimes find myself wandering a bit when his delivery reminds me of a line from the Trilogy. The first half hour is dreadfully slow, but once Guinness enters the story it's gets really interesting. I've only seen the first two episodes but I anxiously await the library's copy of the next two.

NBC won't say it's cancelled, but this is an awfully bad sign. Any word on Arrested Development? I believe last week was the final Fox show, I have no idea if it's going to be picked up by another network. Tonight I'm taping Scrubs and Love Monkey- there's stil a few things I like on the tube.
