I was sick earlier this week (which explains a bit of my absence from the boards), with much running to the bathroom and lying in bed for days. Since I didn't have the will to sit at my computer, I couldn't pass time on the net or doing other things. I pretty much was relegated to watching A LOT of TV. I quickly realized that 99% of TV sucks or is just plain uninteresting, so I decided to perform the ultimate time killer: watch an entire season of a television series all at once. It took me a little over two days, but I successfully watched the entire seventh season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer on DVD, complete with commentaries and all other special features.
It was actually better than I remember it, probably because I didn't have to wait months to receive the answers to certain questions, just hours. I still hate Kennedy, but I think most of my other residual complaints pretty much faded away after watching the entire season all at once. This is not something I would attempt to do if I were not sick, but I guess it was nice to do since I was sick. Dare I admit my eyes got a little watery at the end of "Chosen"? Obviously I had seen it before, but the end of the series still got to me. Yeah, I'm a big pussy.
Anyone else watch any old or current television series on DVD? I currently own Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Wonderfalls, and Sledge Hammer! complete series. I own a few seasons of The Simpsons and South Park. I've watched The Ben Stiller Show, Moonlighting, and various bits of 24, Kids in the Hall, and The Office (UK) as well. Now that my Whedony collections are complete, I'm gonna start working on getting current with my Simpsons sets again.
