Posts: 6068 Tue, Oct 23, 2007 4:39 AM Consul - Orlando System Baron Admin	Tags : None TYIJC v1 gets released today, generally for about $70. For seven 90-minute movies, that doesn't seem too bad. I've not made an order as of yet, but if I buy it it'll be online to avoid the taxes. I think I may wait for the inevitable holiday sales and maybe a deal with volume 2, which will be released in December. Anyone else wanting it?

The old Indy wrap arounds are gone (I hear they were gone from the VHS as well) and it's not a standard full season package, but a few episodes mixed in with a bunch of documentaries about history. I'm not saying that's bad, I'm just saying it's kinda weird. I was often bored by the little kiddie eps, but I really enjoyed the teen Indy eps (since he seemed more like the adult character, I guess), so I don't know if I'll rush out to buy this. If Netflix carries it, I'll probably rent it to see what's what.

I agree the idea of spending well over $200 for all of these is a hefty decision, but I would like to see these episodes as they were later broadcast, as movies. The openings with the sad, decrepit Indy waiting around museums to tell uninterested attendees his tales totally did not seem in the spirit of my favorite adventuring archaeologist.

Pretty titillating stuff, Mr. Flannery. Just saw Crystal Skull last night and was happy to hear the Young Indy reference. "I rode with Pancho Villa..."

I actually found the ending to have some exciting editing where I felt some real peril.
