The original was in Denver, II and III were in Indy, and of course, this year it was in L.A.
I expect I'll go back, I truly enjoy them, but having a family certainly makes it a little less certain. I wish I could get the wife interested in Star Wars (it's not looking good). If we both enjoyed it it would make an automatic vacation. |

I'd love to go if I can afford it. Plus I usually have to take summer classes so that limits travel times. But hopefully...

I'm still hoping it'll be in 2010 so maybe you'll have a different schedule by then! I hope to see you there. And by that I mean I hope I'm there, too. Even more, I hope it's in Orlando!

I would love to go. I think Orlando is the perfect place to have it. We do have a lot of hotel space and if it it during SWW then it is twice the fun. lol. But I do plan to go.

Yeah, it would be really, really cool to go home and sleep in my own bed each night of Celebration. Many more of us on here would undoubtedly go, and I could spend my hotel budget on more collectibles.

At this point, I can't imagine passing on it either. I'd be as happy of happier if it's in 2010, though. I'd rather celebrate Empire's 30th than Menace's 10th in 2009.

I think you can all take a deep breath and relax for at least another year. After discussing this with Steve at length back in October, while nothing said was
official, let's just say that 2009 was not sounding good at all. They don't have anyone to run the event yet, nor do they have a location picked out
and booked. Sadly, Orlando did not sound like a very likely candidate due to Disney not wanting to cooperate with prices of hotels and merchandise. Anything is
still possible at this point, but if I had to say for sure, my educated guess would be 2010 in Indy for Celebration V.
Regardless of where it's held, of course, I'll be there. This will be my first Celebration working as an official staff member for RebelScum.com, so I'm really looking forward to that. Administrator - RebelScum.com, Wedge Collection Engine & The Registry

I think a few of us can relate to significant other's eyes glazing over at the merest SW mention.
I Haven't made a Celebration Yet so hopefully come 2010 it will happen. It would be fun to go with this group. Well depending on how many directions everyone simultaneously runs off in. |

I think I may have disappointed a few people by going off in my own direction regularly at CIV. It's tough because you come all that way to experience it
all- there's no way, so you have to focus on what you particularly like, and that's rarely going to coincide with everybody, or anybody, else. As for
volunteering, should it ever be in my town it's a give, I want to be at the eye of the storm. If it's somewhere else I'm open to volunteering, but
I hate being tied down. Especially since most places would prefer you to commit time before you know the schedule.

Yeah, I hear that. During Celebration III, I was with a less than hardcore group and I often found myself wandering off alone. I went and saw the One Man
Star Wars Show by myself and it was hours after that until I met back up with the rest of the group. Celebration IV was much better for me as I was with a few
people from the TWSC, but even then I ended up doing a few things alone. Between volunteering for Official Pix and everything else going on, I kept extremely
busy.
