When it was new I thought AotC was one of the best episodes because I thought it followed more traditions of my favorite, ESB. Now I'm not even sure I enjoy watching it more than TPM. Time we need to sort out our thoughts. Speaking of following ESB, ever notice RotS's plot reads a bit like it? The big battle in the beginning and the personal duels that end each, for example.

The only thing it really has going for it is the end battle and Ewan McGregor. I think I actually prefer TPM to AOTC nowadays, though AOTC certainly has the better third act. As for ROTS, I'm tempted to list it first, but I'm still unsure. So I'll wait. *Quote:* Yeah Sabacc, I just noticed that about ESB and ROTS. That is neat how they are similar in plot. Some of those love scenes from AOTC still give me chills. "Sand is so coarse, your so soft" Whatever he says, good lord GL what were you thinking.

Posts: 796 Sun, Feb 26, 2006 3:55 PM *Gainesville*	To me RotS was the film I wanted the earlier two to be. I loved Qui Gonn but PM was like a history lesson. It was all setup with very little payoff of it's own. At least AotC had some intrigue and hints of "what's to come" to build excitement. Anakin had to hit bottom to become Vader and Eps 1 & 2 were mostly "let's see how Anny is misunderstood." He had to fail completely so that didn't leave much room for others' success. I'd like to have seen more of the clone wars and Wookie home world and other in-between stuff only hinted at or shown briefly in the films.
