Well I would be interested. Since I've never seen a sw film in the theatre with other fans (best friend loves SW but not a fan such as we) it will be fun.
Has Anyone else considered their plans?
I can say I definitely want to catch a digital showing at some point as well. |

I haven't started researching this, but I did see Dark Knight at Pointe Orlando and thought the theater was pretty good. It's one of the more expensive
ones in town, but this is a big occasion, so if that's where the group leans, I'd rather see it with the gang.
Is Clone Wars playing digitally locally? Either way, I'm hoping to see a midnight showing that first night for the principle of the thing.

Tickets are on sale now and are about $14. I'm in and it looks like Pin might go. She's got work the next day at 7am(!), so that's up in the air.

Cripes that scared me... but no fear. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Clone Wars is showing in IMAX. I just ordered my ticket ($10.50 after
$1 service fee) for the 12:01 show at Pointe Orlando. Pin's not coming with me but claims she wants to go over the weekend when we have a chance. Wow, can
do.

I have to pass on the midnight showing. I already took some time off this month and will need to work early the following day. I'll probably catch the
movie locally on Friday with the family. I'm glad that commercials are finally being played in heavy rotation over the last week or so. I was thinking that
this was just being thrown out there as an 'eh....here's a long cartoon that can make some money in the theater' event. I like seeing the continued
push similar to that of a live action film.

Sorry I won't see it with you, but I totally understand. And it is cool to see it get some real attention. I have no idea how America's going to bite
on this. Note that each theater is only playing one midnight showing and that I've not found one that's sold out. However, not that many kids and
parents can sneak out at midnight Thursday so maybe the weekend will being lots of ticket buyers.

Sounds like Jessie might show as early as 10pm, and I'll be there no later than 11pm. I'd Really like to get a seat in the middle of the theater,
ideally not too far into the back. When I saw Dark Knight with MikeScribner he had us way over to one side and I can't be having any more of that.

I had a great time. I'll put my thoughts down later in the (SW) Movies section, but for a quick recap- our group was probably a third of a mostly empty
theater at Pointe Orlando. And this was not a large auditorium, either. Basically, no one was there.
Jessie and I came alone, but were joined by Sharon, her friend Tanny (sp?), Russ, and his friend Rob. We met Brian, but I don't know if anyone had met him before. Hopefully we'll see him in the OS one of these days. Jessie had the foresight to have some pictures taken together, so expect those to be posted here in the next day or two. Thanks to all who made it, and I hope all the rest of you are able to see the movie soon- it's a lot of fun! |
