Looks like we will be having a Saturday meeting, probably at Sharon's, somewhere in July or August. I'm looking forward to that but also want to
gauge interest in a smaller, more local gathering on a weeknight before that. I want to make sure that The Orlando System is not getting lost in the creation
of the SWGFA, of which I'm very proud. The purpose of this thread is two-fold: a) to open a forum to make sure that everyone's happy with the
direction of our group, and b) come up with ideas for outings or small local gatherings between the larger SWGFA meetings. Everyone from any of the groups is
always invited to everything (subject to the host's wishes) but scheduling and location planning would be aimed at the convenience of OSers.
So tell me what you think. The joining with other state groups has undoubtedly fueled this site and added to the fun of OS fandom, but I want to make sure that OS members don't feel lost in the shuffle.
Does anyone have any interest in a Wednesday or Thursday viewing of Return of the Jedi at my house this month? I'm considering something small and informal, but wanted to put something out there for people that might not be able to make it to weekend meetings. The movie would be the Episode of the Month, #6, and could potentially start a tradition of viewings by whomever's available.
